"HISTORIC SONOMA SCHOOLS AND TOWN BUILDINGS" Muriel Robbins Ms. Robbins was a teacher and consultant at local schools as well as the daughter of the prominent egg broker Israel "Sam Shainsky and his wife Helen Shainsky. Born in Sonoma, Muriel still lives in the home built by her parents. Muriel will talk about the schools and buildings of the city of Sonoma. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Friday, March 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. "HUNTING AND FISHING IN SOUTHERN SONOMA VALLEY" Hugh Buttrum Mr. Buttrum grew up in Sonoma in the 1950s hunting and fishing as a youth, then going on to work for the California Department of Fish and Game as a warden first in the Sacramento Valley and finally in Sonoma. Hugh will share his memories of the halcyon days of youth and stories of his professional life as a game warden in Sonoma.
